Introductions

Postby Florence » Tue Mar 29, 2011 9:51 am

Hello! Is this the right place to introduce myself? I'm Florence, and I hope to be posting here as a refugee from A.N. Other local website following its recent dramatic downhill plunge (clue: it's the original one).

Firstly, a warm welcome to Mat, both as a new Chiswick resident and as the founder of this promising new website - may it flourish!

Secondly..er....wait a minute...can't remember now what secondly was meant to be, but I'll think of something soon - I'll be back..

Hi everyone..

Me name's Capt Darling..

But you can just call me "Darling"..

Like the feel of this board... makes a nice change from all the backbiting on the "other" new Chiswick forum.

Mat- I take my hat off to you sir!

Good luck with this venture.

Hello!

I'm Mat, I'm very new to Chiswick, and really keen to see the forum flourish slowly but surely into somewhere that is a pleasant place to write, and also useful to newcomers.

One of my utopian ideals has always been to live in a locality where I have lots in common with others nearby (perhaps 'community' sounds a bit hippyish?), and to this end the residents of Chiswick do seem to have the requisite levels of intelligence, eccentricity, and penchants for good writing that I value myself...

Desert Island: I would take the entire piano works of Chopin
Age: I'm 30 but I frequently feel either 20 or 58
I drink a dangerous amount of caffeine on a daily basis.

Thanks for the warm welcome all!

Mat

Good early evening, everybody. My name is Marlinspike, my first tentative post. I will be 'lurking' rather than posting, for now, but it is all looking welcoming :P

Hello everyone, I'm Dicey Reilly
I see everyone has adopted a nom de plume so I thought I ought to have one too.
I'm enjoying trying to work out who's who. I think i've cracked a couple, but the rest are keeping me guessing. It's fun putting all the clues together.
Yours curiously

Welcome, Dicey! (love that nom-de-plume, BTW).

If you're guessing who everyone is, it must mean that you're an asylum-seeker from CW4 (like myself).
What about a little clue about your identity? If you show me yours, I'll show you mine!
