Chiswick House Festival

Postby mat » Fri Apr 01, 2011 3:44 pm

Very quick question. I read about the Chiswick House Festival on CW4 forum and thought it sounded great.

I know they have sold out of tickets, but I looked at their website to get an idea of what it is exactly, but they had no information about which acts had been booked.

What's the normal 'vibe' of the festival? Is it classical music? Something more popular? Barbecues? Theatre?

'festival' is a bit of a misnomer really - more of a social event, organised by the soho house group

it is very posh - all the oysters, lobster & champagne you can scoff are included in the 150 squid ticket price and they sell out before acts are announced - so you can probably tell how important the music is in the scheme of things.
music style is usually popular - i have not been but i remember in previous years they had Mumford & Sons, Paloma Faith, Sophie Ellis Bextor etc
